I have totally lied about reading certain books, but it wasn’t worth it, and now I come clean about how inconsistently read I am. Honest.

Were I to keep lying, I would not be alone.  The Guardian reports that the good people behind World Book Day (?)  discovered we’re all a bunch of liars.  In a recent poll conducted in the UK, 65% of respondents admitted to saying they’d “read a book when they had not.”  Top of the list of “guilty reading secrets” is 1984.
